The Founder of our company knows about tight fit situations. He worked in engineering of the “Life Support Systems” inside NASA’s Gemini space capsules where the environment for the astronauts was very tight. And he worked on the Final Assembly of the Apollo Space Capsules where “space” was also extremely tight. And then he worked on subsea pipeline diver chambers where the environments were also very tight. This background led to a specialization in the tools needed for work in very limited space.

The aerodynamic shape of commercial and military airplanes requires tools for seemingly endless tight fit drilling and riveting situations. This led to the development of the Tight Fit® Drill Kit that traces its origin to the aircraft industry and the need to drill holes for rivets in areas with extreme space limitations. And they had to be perfect holes. This required the use of precision threaded drill bits like those which are a part of these kits.
